VINACCERO 2016 - Aleatico IGP Puglia
To be invited to the table in moments when we want to indulge in a soft, enveloping wine and great harmony. It owes its name to the Vinacciere ships that set sail from the Apulian ports loaded with wine to reinforce those of other territories less rich in sun.

Production area: Marchione district, on the Turi-Castellana Grotte road, Puglia.

Yield per plant: approximately 1 to 4 kg
Year of planting: 1990s
Harvest: approximately in the second half of September and in any case only after a slight drying on the plant
Vinification: at a controlled temperature, with a more prolonged maceration of the skins, which gives the wine the typical characteristics of the vine and makes it delicately velvety
Aging: in steel for 18 months and then another two years in the bottle to round off and further enrich the aromas and taste
Annual production: approximately 15,000 bottles
Serving temperature: 18 - 20° C

TASTING NOTES
Color: garnet red, clear, with aubergine purple hues, quite consistent
Fragrance: quite intense and persistent, finely aromatic, of wild berries, ripe fruit with red pulp, broad and destined to evolve further over time
Taste: warm, soft, quite tannic and savory, full-bodied, quite balanced, intense and persistent, in excellent overall harmony, with a return of the fruit on the palate with a velvety touch
Food pairing: it is an aleatico for the whole meal, to be enjoyed with pappardelle with cod sauce, barley and porcini soup, apple strudel
Aging capacity: up to 10 years if stored correctly
