The origin of Criscenti “Artigiani del Gusto”
It all started from the desire, passion and perseverance of young people from Bronto. These ambitious young people, in love with traditions and authentic flavours, have decided to pursue their secret dream: the creation of a laboratory where they can create true masterpieces of sweetness.
And this is how, in 2021, Criscenti "artisans of taste" was born. More than a simple pastry laboratory, it represents an innovative project that points to the future, combining tradition and innovation, and paying homage to the wonderful world of pastry art.
We call ourselves "Criscenti" for a very special reason. The basis of our baked products is the exclusive use of live mother yeast, in Sicilian called "U Criscenti". This main ingredient, thanks to the long leavening processes (which can last up to 36 hours), gives our desserts various unique qualities: a natural lightness, a perfect balance in taste, an enveloping softness and surprising digestibility, all even in the absence of preservatives.
For us at Criscenti, craftsmanship is not just a concept, but a real lifestyle. Every day, we are committed to the artisanal processing of our products, selecting only the best raw materials. This choice is fundamental to guarantee the authenticity and quality that distinguish our creations.
